Mr. T.V. Subba Rao
(Head- Operations – Nippo Batteries Pvt. Ltd.)

Mr.T.V.Subba Rao, a Graduate in Arts with PG Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations.

Started his career with Ennore Foundries and joined Nippo Batteries in 1980. In Nippo, as President (Operations), heads Human Resources and Operations functions.

Attended Personnel & Advanced Management programs at Singapore and Japan and presented papers in HR & TQM in Seminars & Colleges across the country and abroad.

Introduced many innovative HR policies and productivity improvement methods. He is instrumental in maintaining the best of Industrial Relations, with out any loss of production on account of any employees unrest since 1980.

Under his leadership, the Company won ‘Best Productivity Award’ and Union’s ‘Best Union Award’ many times from the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

During 2006, both Factories of the Company in Nellore and Tada won prestigious Awards from Govt of Andhra Pradesh, CLEANER PRODN AWARD for Nellore and BEST MANAGEMENT AWARD for Tada.

During last few years, both the factories received “Excellence” Award for Effective Implementation of 5S techniques from ABK-AOTS DOSOKAI (Alumni Association of ABK & AOTS, Japan) Tamilnadu Centre.

As part of continuous improvement activity, he is now taking the company towards achieving “Zero Defects, Zero Breakdowns, Zero Accidents & Zero Loss” by initiating “TOTAL PRODUCTIVITY MAINTENANCE” (TPM).

Currently holding the prestigious position of Chairman of ISTD Chennai Chapter. As Chairman of NIPM Madras Chapter, successfully conducted 1st International HR Conference viz., Asia Pacific HRM Conference 2005.
